I hardly ever actually update this, so a little blurb....

Last week I said good-bye to LA and to be honest it felt really nice. After two years I think I had my fill of tinsel town. It had it's moments, and some great friends were made, but it was time for a change.

I'm off to the East Coast with my fellow for some new adventures.

For awhile now I have heard my friends talk about this movie called "The Room," and last night I finally got to experience it for myself. The movie itself is probably one of the worst movies ever created and that in itself has made it a cult favorite out here, with a monthly midnight screening that has been going on for about the last five years. Now this screening is not your typical screening infact it is nothing like anything I have ever experienced. Now I don't want to give too much away but I will say if you ever find yourself at one of these midnight screenings don't forget your box of plastic spoons.

So today was my first day at the new job. I didn't do too much, just answered phone calls and filed paperwork (exciting I know!) I probably could have done more if my boss wasn't the female Michael Scott (if you don't get my comparison just watch an episode of The Office and it will all come together, haha). But it wasn't too horrible, but made me realize working in sales is not something I want to do forever, but the pay is pretty good so I can save up some money. The hardest thing i will have to get used to is not getting a hour break, we only get a half a hour one, which is by far too short of a time if you ask me (but I don't think anyone really is, haha!)

So the first day went ok, we will have to see how the rest of the week goes.

Ok so I'm not even going to begin apologize for me lack of updates because if I did we would all be here for a very long time, but I am sorry.

So in the last couple of month nothing interesting happened, but within the last couple of weeks it seems lots has happened.

1. I experienced my very first earthquake. It was a very bizarre experience as for the first couple of seconds I thought it way my legs that were being all wobbly, but then I realized that the rest of the store was wobbling as well, haha! Then for the next couple of seconds I stood around trying to remember what one is suppose to do in an earthquake, and by the time I remembered something about moving under a door frame it was over. But thankfully it wasn't too bad where I live any the only thing that happened at the apartment was some things shifted on their shelves.

2. I've been applying for a new job as I was growing tired of working at Borders.

3. I got a new job! Nothing too exciting, I will be working with my roommate at the tile place she works at. I will be working with contractors and making orders, definitely not something I plan on doing forever, but the pay is very nice so I will be able to save up more money.

4. Because of the new job I got to put my two weeks notice into Borders, it was a very bitter sweet moment, bitter because I still really like everyone I work with and I will be very sad not getting to see them everyday, sweet because I am so very ready to be done with Borders.

So that is basically all the news of LA, and I know I have said this before but this time I will really try my best to actually update this more often.

Ok so I haven't updated in awhile basically because I didn't have anything new to share, that is until today.

So I guess today must have been bizaro day or something, because this was just ridiculous. A customer who I had helped early in the day call the store to ask me out on a date! Haha! It was so weird alright it wasn't just weird it was really kind of creepy, but sure makes for one awesome story to tell people. It might have been a little less weird/creepy if the guy wasn't in his 40s (haha!) but even if he was closer to my age it still would have been odd.

Oh LA, how I do love all your craziness.

Well I am very happy to report that I shall be in Arizona next Friday (14) through Sunday (16). I am coming back to attend my dear friend Lex's graduation as well as attend the Christmas Lunch with all of my moms friends, and it also just so happens that I will be able to attend my friend Megan's holiday party! I am so extremely excited! I am hoping to get to see as many people as I can and get to hang out with them all.

This being said now all I have to do is get through the next 7 straight days of work I shall doing as payment for my weekend off during the holiday season, haha. But I believe it is well worth it!

Wow I am sure bad about updating this, but I feel I am not the only one to blame for my lack of updates, I feel Borders and the Holiday season, and people wanting to buy their Christmas gifts are all equally to blame. Man retail work during the Holiday season sure can make this kid busy! But I guess that's alright it gives me something to do haha!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was pretty good, drove home for Tofurky day and had breakfast with papa bear (he sadly had to work that day) but fear not I did not spend the rest of my day alone, I had dinner with the Bodes (and a delightful dinner it was). Then I got to drive back home so I could go to work the next day. But on the drive back to good old LA we stopped at the greatest gas station ever. Why this gas station is so amazing you might be asking yourself, I have one word for you.... DINOSAURS! That's right folks this gas station had giant Dinosaur statues (the same that can be seen the the Pee Wee movie).

So what did we do? Why take pictures!

Wow sorry everyone, it sure has been awhile since I last updated, sorry about that. Things out here have been pretty busy mainly with work. It's that wonderful time once again when everyone in retail work lets out a groan, the Holiday Season. Haha! So I have been working even more than before (especially since we have been down to only 3 cashiers for the last couple of weeks, ugh no fun!)

But anyways besides that things have been going pretty nicely out here. I'm making some new friends so that is a plus, and I still like most of the people I work with so that is another plus. The weather has started to get a little chilly which is something I and my wardrobe are not too used to . Haha! But I guess that just means I will have to go and do some shopping for some warm clothes .

Well I hope things are going wonderfully for you all.

well it's been a little while

So I realized that it has been a little while since I last updated and let me tell you not much has happened either haha! Work is going really well, I for some reason am doing really well, even with my horrific phobia of talking to people that I don't know.

Oh but the yesterday I did have a customer have me call down my manager just so she could tell her how wonderful she thought I was, she was saying such nice things about me and that made my day! And I have seen a couple more "celebrities" including the dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding , the AT&T guy from the Alltel commercials, and the lady who played Eddie Murphys wife in the Dr. Dolittle Movies. Haha how I recognize some of these people is still beyond me! Haha!

Well I think that is all I have for now, but I do want to give a shout out to one Miss Molly who is turning the BIG 10 today! So happy birthday my little one!

So work is going alright, it's retail work, but I seem to be pretty good at it. I had a customer tell me that I was the nicest person they had ever met, and then one of my employees called me a bundle of joy, both statements made me laugh a lot (haha!)

But speaking of customer (all you Office fans will appreciate this) Creed Bratton came to my register yesterday! I tried my best to play it cool, but on the inside I was screaming. He was so incredibly nice, as my register decided to act up while I was trying to complete his transaction. Eeeep! He is one of my favorite people on the Office!

So I had my first day of work yesterday, well it was more of a sitting and filling out paper work day. So it was a little boring and the time went by fairly slowly (or maybe 8 hours just really seems that long haha). But the kids that work there seem pretty nice, however; the best part is that I get to wear whatever I want to work!! I'm pretty excited about that, if you couldn't tell.

a little update

Since last time I updated I've been applying for jobs and going on job interviews, and now officially have a job at Borders. My boss told me it was my personable attitude that won him over, I guess my nervousness comes off as being personable so score one more me.

Anyways the weather here has been amazing not a day has gone by where it was hotter than the mid 80s (all the more reason for all you Arizona kids to come visit me).

Now I do want to introduce you to one of my new best friends, his name is Angel. He is just about the sweetest thing ever, he loves to follow me around the apartment and sleep on my bed while I doing things in my room. In fact he is sleeping right next to me as I write this (haha). It's pretty adorable if I do say so myself.

Well I think I might and go take some photographs or maybe go for a walk just because it's so nice outside and you can actually walk outside at 2:30 without dieing of heat stroke here (haha).

one week today

So I am happy to report that I have done in a week what I was never able (or maybe willing to do) in the ten months I lived at my old apartment, I have completely unpacked all of the boxes in my room! Ok so maybe that isn't quite as exciting to you all as it is me, but I'm pretty darn proud of myself, and to show how proud I have taken some pictures to show you all.

So here it is everyone my new room and all its glory. It's a nice size so that is pretty wonderful but the greatest part of this room is that it has not one but two closets! It's basically amazing!

Now that my room is all done I guess I should try to finish the rest of the apartment (hehe). Hope everyone is doing well.

So today was the big move. We left at 7 AM and got to our apartment by around 1:30ish, and were completely moved in by 3:45. The place is a mess, boxes, packing paper, and tape everywhere, but we are officially moved in now (scary!).

But I'm exhausted, so I'm off to bed and the rest of my unpacking will have to wait till tomorrow (or the next day haha).

first look

So here it is everyone, the place I shall be calling home sweet home (at least for the next year), Babcock Terrace. Our apartment is the one on the third floor on the left. It's located in Studio City only moments away from my friends house, so that is a plus.

We officially move in on Sept 5th so once we have the apartment looking some what decent I shall take pictures of the inside and share them all with you.

And now back to packing, I sure have a long way to go still, haha!

That's right, I am on the move, and I shall soon be heading to LA California. So this is a way for all my friends and family back in Arizona and elsewhere to keep tabs on me. So hopefully they actually read it, cause otherwise I'm just doing this for myself haha.
